Flagstaff Train Day
Did you know Mick Jagger’s first Instagram photo was taken on Acela Express from New York to Washington, DC? Or that Alexis Ohanian, founder of Reddit, created the idea behind the company while riding on Amtrak? Each year train enthusiasts and supporters celebrate travel by train at events scheduled across the nation.
Amtrak services Flagstaff twice daily on the Southwest Chief route which runs between Chicago and Los Angeles. Visit Amtrak for details and reservations for your next train trip. Trainspotting is easy in Flagstaff: 80-100 freight trains come through Flagstaff daily, the busiest freight line in the world.
