Re-Source A Juried Art Exhibition Celebrating Creative Reuse + Ecological Mindfulness Deadline to Submit: February 15, 2027 at 5pm MST ••• CALL FOR ARTISTS ••• Exhibition: April 16 – May 30, 2027 Opening Ticketed Fundraising Reception: April 16, 2027 Artist Reception | Art Walk: May 7th, 2027 THE INVITATION Where do our art materials come from? What impact do they have? How might we use them differently? The HeArt Box and Azulita Project invite artists working in all mediums to submit original, high-quality work exploring our relationship with materials and resources. We welcome creative reuse, natural and regenerative materials, fiber arts, earth pigments, and innovative low-impact practices. We also welcome artists working with conventional materials, including acrylics, plastics, and petroleum-based products, who are willing to question their choices and consider alternatives. You don’t have to use recycled or natural materials to participate. We ask that you think critically about your materials, where they come from, and how you use them. Re-Source is presented in partnership with Azulita Project, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower community action to prevent and reduce plastic waste. Re-Source Exhibition will serve as a fundraising opportunity for Azulita. Plastic pollution is a global problem that affects all communities. Because plastic is deeply embedded in our daily lives—including many of the materials artists use—Re-Source asks us to consider not only the waste we can see, but also the resources, systems, and choices behind the things we make and consume. Submission Deadline: February 15, 2027 at 5pm MST Submission Fee: $15 (This fee directly supports the costs of hosting this exhibition. As an artist-run gallery, these funds help us promote participating artists and ensure that this show uplifts our creative community as a whole.) WHO CAN APPLY? Artists working in painting, drawing, printmaking, fiber arts, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, photography, film, digital media, installation, and other creative disciplines. Artists at any stage of their practice are welcome. The gallery is a small gallery, all sizes will be considered. Size range that works best is within the 24" x 24".
