With elevations above 7,000 feet, Flagstaff’s summer temperatures are cool, refreshing, and perfectly ideal for fishing.

Enjoy magnificent views of the San Francisco Peaks while throwing a cast into one of the several scenic Flagstaff area lakes. Don’t be surprised to see herds of elk, deer and antelope grazing along the shoreline and bald eagles flying high over the surrounding Ponderosa Pines.

Fish varieties in the Flagstaff area include: Northern Pike, Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout, Walleye, Channel Catfish, Yellow Bass, and Sunfish.

A fishing license is required for anglers 10 years of age or older. Licenses are available for purchase at azgfd.com/license and through authorized retail stores.
