  • I Heart Pluto Festival Night of Discovery at the Orpheum Theater

    Evening of Pluto-themed discovery and programming at the Orpheum Theater as part of the I Heart Pluto Festival. 

International Dark Sky Week
April 13 –20, 2026
A weeklong celebration of Flagstaff’s dark skies featuring community stargazing, educational programs, and night-sky experiences throughout the city. Highlights include Starlight in the Square, a special evening event in Heritage Square taking place Thursday or Friday during Dark Sky Week.

Full Moon Music Concerts at Buffalo Park
May 30 | June 29 | July 28 - Additional dates may include Aug 27, Sept 26, and Oct 25, 2026
Experience live music under the stars as the Full Moon rises over Buffalo Park. These monthly concerts feature performances on a grand piano and/or by the Dark Sky Quartet, blending music and moonlight in one of Flagstaff’s most scenic outdoor settings.

Night Visions: Amber
June 27 – September 26, 2026
An immersive summer art exhibition at the Coconino Center for the Arts, Night Visions: Amber explores the beauty and purpose of Flagstaff’s amber street lighting through creative installations inspired by the night sky.

Celebration of the Night
September – October, 2026
A city-wide series of programs, talks, and night-sky activations honoring Flagstaff’s leadership in dark-sky protection and nocturnal conservation.

Flagstaff Star Party
October 1–3, 2026
Join astronomers, guest speakers, and community members at Buffalo Park for public telescope viewing, family-friendly activities, and educational programming beneath Flagstaff’s famously dark skies.

25th Anniversary Celebration: International Dark Sky City
October 24, 2026
Celebrate the official 25th anniversary of Flagstaff’s designation as the world’s first International Dark Sky City in 2001 with special events and community festivities honoring this global milestone.
