​Flagstaff is well known as a climbing epicenter.

From Oak Creek Canyon up through Walnut Canyon to the San Francisco Peaks there is a multitude of opportunities for outdoor professional climbing and bouldering. With popular well-known locations like Solitude Canyon, Hobo Jungle and the Oak Creek Canyon Overlook there seems an endless supply of climbing opportunities.

Flagstaff is also equipped with several indoor climbing centers for all ages and all experience levels. Indoor climbing in Flagstaff offers a thrilling escape into the world of vertical adventure, perfect for enthusiasts seeking a challenge regardless of weather conditions. Whether you're a beginner learning the ropes or a seasoned climber looking to push your limits, these facilities provide diverse routes and bouldering problems to suit every preference. With the Downtown Crag and Main Street Boulders locations, Flagstaff Climbing offers two climbing gyms in the Flagstaff area with over 9000 square feet of top rope, lead climbing and bouldering terrain.

Main Street Boulders is a bouldering gym with 2000+ square feet of climbing terrain along with moonboard, campus board, peg board and training structure.

Beta Bouldering Gym

Beta is a state-of-the-art facility opened since Fall of 2012 to provide climbers a place to train, socialize, and get fit. Beta was designed specifically for bouldering, meaning the majority of the climbing walls do not require ropes or gear besides rock climbing shoes and a chalk bag.

The Aquaplex is a multi-generational recreation center. The facility offers affordable community fitness and fun for everyone! In addition to the indoor climbing wall, there are also swimming lessons, recreational swimming, open gym time, and much more.
