Press Trips

Share

One of the primary functions of the Discover Flagstaff Media Relations Department is to assist members of print and broadcast media who are on assignment.

PRESS TRIPS AND GUIDELINES

We are happy to suggest itineraries and facilitate visits to area attractions, cultural venues and other points of interest for inclusion in articles, books and broadcasts.

Discover Flagstaff hosts a variety of group and individual press trips designed to give journalists the first-hand experience necessary to make their stories stand out. The media relations team facilitates these visits by offering support that ranges from providing story ideas, information and recommendations, to coordinating hour-by-hour itineraries.

Please note that complimentary arrangements are provided at the discretion of the hotel and attraction partners and are subject to availability. Blackout periods may apply throughout the year, necessitating a media rate. Please understand that our primary concern is assisting working media. Host locations are not always able to accommodate spouses, children and visitors accompanying working press.

Individual press trips allow for a customized itinerary based on a journalist’s assignment and offer flexible scheduling options, while group press trips are scheduled to accommodate a number of journalists and usually feature a generalized itinerary that may focus on key Flagstaff themes.

Upon publication, we ask that you send a copy of the article or, for broadcast mentions, please provide air dates or send a copy of the segment.
