Kick off Route 66 Centennial Weekend at Village Camp Flagstaff! Live music, outdoor movies, classic cookout, games & more — the party before the party. Join us at Village Camp Flagstaff on the evening of Friday, June 5th for the official Route 66 Centennial kickoff party. We're turning the campground into a full-on Route 66 celebration, complete with live 50s-70s music, an outdoor movie night, a classic American cookout with an old diner-inspired road trip menu, and enough nostalgia to fill a tank. Here's what's happening: The fun starts at The Starting Line - our clubhouse welcome area dressed up with vintage signage and old school gas station props. Live music at our outdoor amphitheater to set the mood for the weekend. Outdoor movie night under the stars, Route 66 style. A classic American cookout with a road trip-inspired diner menu. Kids' activities including a waterslide, face painting, and arts & crafts. License plate decorating for all ages. Custom Route 66 t-shirts available on-site. Village Camp x Sweet Shoppe mountain bark for sale. And yes, doggie bandanas, because no road trip is complete without your co-pilot. The next morning, all of Flagstaff comes alive for the official Flagstaff Route 66 Centennial Celebration, a free, family-friendly day-long event in Downtown Flagstaff (June 6, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM) featuring nostalgic reenactments, a classic car show, skywriting, and streetscape art installations. Village Camp is just minutes from downtown, so you can celebrate all night and be right in the action the next day.
