Oil Painting for Everyone!

Curious about oil painting but not sure where to begin? This welcoming, beginner-friendly class takes the mystery out of getting started with oil paint.

We’ll cover the basics of setting up your palette, choosing painting surfaces, understanding how much paint to use, cleaning your brushes, and deciding whether if you will need mediums. We’ll also talk about creating a simple, low-toxicity oil painting practice without relying on traditional solvents.

The class will focus on the fundamentals of handling oil paint and mixing color, with demonstrations and plenty of time for questions and hands-on practice. You’ll leave with a better understanding of your materials and the confidence to continue working with oil paint.

No previous painting experience is necessary.
