Come enjoy a screening of Akira (1988; Katsuhiro Otomo) followed by a guest speaker, Dr. Christopher Douglas. He will be delivering a talk titled: “Won't Someone Think of the Children? Motorcycle Gangs, the Bubble Economy, and Obligation in AKIRA (1988)” and you will munch on Japanese snacks while you participate in the discussion!
