Lowell Observatory and The Orpheum presents I Heart Pluto: Road to Discovery: Pluto & Route 66 at the historic Orpheum Theater in downtown Flagstaff, AZ!

More on the event: Pluto and Route 66 rose to fame just four years apart, becoming global icons despite later reclassification. This year marks Route 66’s centennial and the 20th anniversary of Pluto’s status change. Tonight’s program brings experts together to explore their shared heritage, revisit Pluto’s reclassification, and debate whether it should once again be called a planet. Presenters will be announced by the end of 2025. Along with admission to the public program, VIP guests are invited to a special pre-event reception featuring the evening’s speakers.
