Join NAU History for Black History Month with visiting professor Elizabeth Todd-Breland of the University of Illinois - Chicago.
She specializes in urban history, African American history, and the history of education and has written extensively on black political reform with an emphasis on black teacher unionism from the civil rights era to the present. Her talk will focus on the black organizing tradition and how to respond to current crises in the spirit of the public good, including public education.
