Create your own design, using ancient pottery techniques to learn about how pottery was made in the past. This is the 5th workshop in the Ancient Tech Summer Series at Elden Pueblo, focused on clay. Native people used clay to help build their homes, make pots or other tools and small animal effigies. Learn about basic pottery techniques and the styles of ancient pottery in the southwest. Elden Pueblo is a prehistoric Sinagua Heritage Site on the Coconino National Forest in Flagstaff. It was an important village for trade and the type site for the Elden phase in southwest prehistory.
