Full Moon Hike

Join Flagstaff Open Space as we hike the Don Weaver Trail at Picture Canyon to view the Blue Moon!

PROSE - Open Space hosts a full moon walk (and sometimes bike ride) on one of our beautiful Open Space properties--a different spot each month. We start about a half-hour before the moon rises, walk on either a loop trail or out-and-back, and watch the full moon rise. Come check out your open spaces, and meet new people! Wear sturdy shoes, dress for the weather, and bring a red-light flashlight and hiking poles, but we'll have extras! This month, we'll walk Picture Canyon starting at the trailhead at 3920 N El Paso Flagstaff Rd, an go clockwise on the Don Weaver Trail. It is 2 miles with a couple of uphill spots, but otherwise fairly flat.
