Part of Flagstaff's International Dark Sky Week Celebration

Celebrating 25 Years as the World's First International Dark Sky City! Join us for an evening under Flagstaff's Dark Skies, featuring Stargazing and Local Flavor!

After last year’s incredible debut, we’re excited to bring Starlight in the Square back to Downtown Flagstaff for an even more meaningful evening under the stars!

This year marks the City of Flagstaff’s 25th anniversary, our Silver Jubilee, of becoming the world’s first-ever International Dark Sky City! For 25 years, our community has led the way in protecting urban night skies, and this event is a beautiful way to experience exactly why that matters.

Join us in historic Heritage Square as downtown lights dim and Heritage Square transforms into a warm, amber-lit gathering space. Enjoy curated heavy hors d’oeuvres, specialty dark-sky-themed drinks, and local flavors from downtown businesses and community partners. As the sky deepens into twilight, take part in laser-guided stargazing tours and view celestial objects through telescopes placed throughout Heritage Square.

When: Saturday, April 18, 2026
Time: 5:00pm–10:00pm
Where: Heritage Square, Downtown Flagstaff

Tickets are on sale now! Stargazing is free, but please RSVP here.
