Learn about and touch exotic bugs from around the world and from our own backyards.
This is a free, kids-oriented, hands-on event! Families can visit stations where different insects are displayed, catch and identify aquatic insects from Francis Short Pond, learn about pollinators and the Mayor’s Monarch Pledge, and plant a seed for a butterfly-loving plant! Parking will be on the south or north sides of Francis Short Pond (N. Aztec Street or N. Thorpe Rd.) and walk to the tables we’ll have set up near the pond. This is an AZ Watchable Wildlife Experience event, and will include the Biodiversity Outreach Network, AZ Game & Fish, Flagstaff Open Space, and Flagstaff Sustainability.
