Sunday Matinee Cabernet Cabaret - Bad Boys with Big Hearts & Tribute to Johnny Cash
Copy for Beaver Street Goes Country “Beaver Street Goes Country” - Bad Boys with Big Hearts, & a Tribute to the Man in Black The second of the Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival Cabernet Cabarets, where every ticket comes with a glass of wine or bottled water, will be at the Beaver Street Theatre, 11 South Beaver Street #2 on Sunday, July 5 • 3 p.m. He’s back — and he brought the whole honky-tonk with him. Stephen Edwards returns with a red-hot set of outlaw anthems and heart-on-your-sleeve ballads, from Jimmy Buffett to Toby Keith, Dierks Bentley to Blake Shelton. And by overwhelming popular demand: his electrifying tribute to the one and only Johnny Cash. These are the musical tales of rebels, dreamers, and the men who loved hard and lived harder. The songs take you from the beaches of Margaritaville to a train ride with The Gambler to favorite bars with friends in low places; from 2 a.m. truck rides to the walls of Folsom Prison. You are guaranteed to hear some favorite classics and welcome to join in the party. Stephen Edwards is a graduate of NAU and a favorite Flagstaff baritone who was last seen as a guest artist in the June 21 Over the Rainbow cabaret, celebrating PRIDE, Father’s Day and the Summer Solstice. In addition to his all country cabaret in the inaugural 2025 season, he appeared in Classical to Country with Lynn Timmons Edwards and was featured in the Halloween Cabaret as Audry II, the man-eating plant and the lead singer on “Ghost Busters” and “Monster Mash.” Beaver Street Goes Country will be hosted by Flag Shakes Cabaret Producer/Director Lynn Timmons Edwards. The 2025 Midsummer Honky Tonk was an early sell-out. General Admission tickets are $20 and Patron tickets, which come with up to four reserved seats are available for a $100 donation to the Flag Shakes Cabaret Series. www.flagshakes.org/tickets.
