"Exploring the Botanical Diversity, Ecology, and History of Arizona’s Native Flora and the Special Contributions to the Arizona Flora by Penstemons" will feature, presentations and field trips to local public and private gardens
The meeting offers field trips to public and private gardens, and a wide range of papers and posters presented in two formal gatherings that cover many different aspects of Arizona’s native flora and penstemons Two joint formal gatherings will be offered. The first is on Friday, June 12, 2026, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Elks Lodge No. 499, 2101 N. San Francisco St., Flagstaff. This session will include light snacks, social time, a speaker and preview of field trips that will take place on Saturday morning and Sunday. The second is on Saturday, June 13, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lowell Observatory, 1400 West Mars Hill Rd., Flagstaff. Speakers presentations on a variety of botanical subjects will take place in the afternoon. An evening buffet meal, with keynote speaker will begin about 6:00 p.m. Registration includes admission to the observatory which is open until 11:00 p.m. Information on Saturday morning and Sunday field trips will be available at the Friday gathering.
