Dyer Telescope Premium Access
Experience no-wait stargazing with a Premium Access experience-only at Lowell Observatory, reservations are required. This private, personalized expedition across the stars is so much more than a stargazing session-it's a guided journey through the cosmos that allows you to choose your own destinations.
Using our advanced telescopes, specially trained educators will show you the best of what the night sky has to offer, including any types of objects that you would like to see. Outside, your educator will use a high-powered laser to point out prominent stars and constellations while sharing epic tales of how the stars first formed (barring any operational issues and weather permitting).
Dyer Premium Access includes the new 24-inch Dyer Telescope, a PlaneWave CDK24a astrograph that offers an exceptionally sharp view of the sky. This telescope is the newest addition to the Mars Hill campus, and its dome used to house the 16-inch McAllister Telescope, a Boller & Chivens reflector that many returning guests will remember.
