Lowell Observatory Premium Access
Experience no-wait stargazing with a Premium Access
experience-only at Lowell Observatory. This private, personalized expedition across the stars is so much more than a stargazing session-it's a guided journey through the cosmos that allows you to choose your own destinations.
Using our advanced telescopes, specially trained educators will
show you the best of what the night sky has to offer, including any types of objects that you would like to see. Outside, your educator will use a high-powered laser to point out prominent stars and constellations while sharing epic tales of how the stars first formed. *Barring any operational issues and weather permitting.
As a VIP guest, you will have exclusive access to one of three
Clark Premium Access includes the historic 24-inch Clark Refractor,
now in its second century of operation. Constructed in 1896, this telescope was used by Percival Lowell to fashion his provocative ideas of life on Mars, and by NASA astronauts to map the Earth's moon ahead of the Apollo missions.
Dyer Premium Access includes the new 24-inch Dyer Telescope, a
PlaneWave CDK24a astrograph that offers an exceptionally sharp view of the sky. This telescope is the newest addition to the Mars Hill campus, and its dome used to house the 16-inch McAllister Telescope, a Boller & Chivens reflector that many returning guests will remember.
Giovale Open Deck Observatory Premium Access includes a suite of six
cutting-edge telescopes that have been hand-selected for unveiling the wonders of the universe to the public. This private window to the cosmos is located on a state-of-the-art observation plaza, and its path is lit by a sidewalk lined with luminescent glow stones as you take in the spectacular views of Flagstaff's dark skies overhead.
Masks are required for viewing, and telescope eyepieces will be
sanitized between use by staff. Our specially trained educators will practice physical distancing throughout the duration of your time at Lowell Observatory.
Experience the universe like never before in this exclusive,
cautious approach to reopening.
