Though Flagstaff is not a host city for the 2026 World Cup, soccer fans can still enjoy the hype right here in the Grand Canyon State, watching matches and getting into the spirit.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup US host cities are Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Seattle. However, Flagstaff is very well-positioned for World Cup travel.

Take a Road Trip

Flagstaff is roughly 4.5 hours from Los Angeles. SoFi Stadium is hosting multiple World Cup matches, and tickets will be available. LA is the most accessible host city from Flagstaff if you want to watch a game in person, but it’s not the only way to get in on the fun.

Collins Irish Pub

Conveniently located downtown, Collins is the closest thing to a proper football pub in Flagstaff. Creamy Guinness, fish and chips, and a crowd that knows the game. They’re open every day from 11am-2am, making it the perfect spot for European fixtures.

Dirty Birdies Sports Bar & Grill

Location: 2285 E Butler Ave

One of the few places in Flagstaff that opens at 6am daily,  meaning you won't miss an early kickoff. They have plenty of screens, great bar food, and a fun atmosphere from breakfast onward.

Sportsman's Bar & Grill

A neighborhood institution open until 2am every night, Sportsman's has a loyal local following, a relaxed game-day atmosphere, and daily food and drink specials.

Foxglenn Park

Location: 4200 East Butler Avenue

Foxflenn Park is a sprawling east-side park with open green space, walkable trails, and room for an informal soccer game. This park is a relaxed alternative to the more competitive Thorpe Fields.

Thorpe Park

Location: 191 North Thorpe Road

The hub of Flagstaff's youth and adult soccer leagues. Weekend mornings have tournament-level energy, and the fields are open daily for pickup games.

Want to catch live soccer in Flagstaff? The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks women's soccer team plays home matches from August through December, with pre-season action starting in late July. It's well worth planning your visit around, and it’s a perfect add-on for any soccer fan already in town.
