As part of National Travel and Tourism Week, Discover Flagstaff will host an “Acts of Kindness” activation display downtown in front of Rainbow's End (12 E Rte 66), May 7 beginning at 10:00 am. The program will authentically engage the brand with locals and visitors with a gesture of kindness – offering free unexpected gifts such as a long stem flower, I ❤️ FLG sticker and an Official Flagstaff Traveler Guide.
For the May 7th event, your participation can include a flier on your storefront, cash wrap or wherever you choose. The idea is to leverage touchpoints to create awareness of the Kindness event to increase foot traffic into your business. We’re providing two versions of the flier, please choose which best suits your business:
Version 1: Acts of Kindness, Get your FREE sticker
Discover Flagstaff will provide businesses with stickers to giveaway at no charge.
Version 2: Acts of Kindness, Get your FREE sticker and a bonus gift.
The bonus gift is something each store chooses/purchases to give away
WHO:
All Flagstaff businesses or organizations are eligible to borrow a merchandising unit -- floral display or tiered cylinder -- to host their own Act of Kindness at their business.
Participation can also occur very simply through posting a flier on your storefront or your cash wrap:
- Flier, version 1: Acts of Kindness, Get your FREE sticker
Discover Flagstaff will provide businesses with stickers to giveaway at no charge.
- Flier, version 2: Acts of Kindness, Get your FREE sticker and a bonus gift.
The bonus gift is something each store chooses/purchases to give away
HOW:
Reach out to Jessica Lawrence, Visitor Center Manager, for merchandising unit availability, scheduling, pick-up and return details.
Contact Jessica Lawrence at jlawrence@flagstaffaz.gov or (928) 213-2951
Daily or weekly use is allowed and will be determined on activity.
We encourage giveaways to be locally purchased – local florist, local candy shop, local retailer
WHAT:
A business will receive the following:
OBLIGATIONS:
A business is responsible for having someone from their business or organization overseeing the merchandising unit and A-frame while in use. Meaning, it can’t be left unattended. If it’s damaged, the business or organization will need to replace or fix the damage before returning it to Discover Flagstaff.
A business is responsible to include Visitor Guides and I heart FLG stickers (both are available at no charge) in the merchandising unit. This inclusion sustains the program and assists in branding the destination to our locals and visitors.
Businesses and organizations are encouraged to post and share on social media channels -- Acts of Kindness #IHRTFLG, #FLGkindness, #FLGLocal
