1. Celebrate Independence Day!

2. Festival for the 4th

The Flagstaff Art in the Park features arts and crafts designed and showcased by artists that are sure to please. Located downtown in Wheeler Park, this three day event during 4th of July weekend includes artists from across the Southwest, live music and a wine garden in a grassy, cool, shaded venue in the heart of downtown Flagstaff.   

3. Amazing Artwalk

The First Friday ArtWalk is one of Northern Arizona’s premier arts events. Each first Friday of the month, art galleries and businesses in historic Downtown Flagstaff open their doors from 6-9pm with special art exhibitions, performances, live music, treats and so much more. 4. FREE Movies! 

Movies on the Square is a FREE, family-friendly event in the heart of downtown on Heritage Square! Movies are every Saturday evening through the summer and conclude Labor Day weekend. The fun starts at 4pm with entertainment from the community and music. Movies begin at dusk, usually between 7:30pm and 8:00pm, with a great list of family friendly titles ranging from new blockbusters to classic movies. Full schedule at 

5. Friday nights are for music!

6. Spectacular Summer Shows!

The Orpheum Theater presents Northern Arizona’s premier performing arts facility offering the best in local and national artists as well as exciting and unique film screenings. This more than 100 year-old historic downtown Flagstaff theater features plush seating, an expansive balcony, state-of-the-art sound, a full bar, and a lounge. The summer line-up provides entertainment from John Conley, Hemlock, Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven to name a few as well as comedy shows, summer family film series, film festivals and a special movie showing of Apollo 11 supporting Lowell Observatory and the Flagstaff Lunar Legacy.  

7. Elevated Exercise

Experience Yoga on the Lawn every Saturday at 9am on the County Courthouse lawn.  This event showcases downtown Flagstaff as a prime location for healthy activities with a relaxed setting. The yoga practice is for all yogi abilities and costs only $5.00.  Also, remember to bring a yoga mat.

8. Paint the Town

Get ready for an artistic experience in a fun relaxed atmosphere with Creative Spirits. No experience is necessary to participate because step-by-step painting instructions are presented by a local artist and supplies are included in the class.  Downtown sessions are offered at Blendz Wine Bar, Lia Leaf Tea House and Vino Loco Wine Shop and Bar. Choose a session at Blendz Wine Bar and paint tile coasters, flamingos, historic hotel or a sunset. Select Vino Loco Wine Shop and Bar to paint an American flag, train, kokopelli or wine glasses. 9. Experience Foodie Flagstaff

Eat, drink and explore downtown with Flagstaff's first walking food tour that provides a combination of delicious food and beverage plus history along the way. Flagstaff Food Tours gives you an intimate experience with behind-the-scenes knowledge and tips from the restauranteurs. On the tour, enjoy sampling a selection of food items from at least five local restaurants with guides showcasing architecture, cultural sites, and great local shops. The Flagstaff culinary scene has exploded with flavor and local restauranteurs dedicated to providing a fresh experience. 10. Open-Air Flagstaff Markets

Shop outdoors in the cool mountain pines at the Flagstaff Urban Flea Market and the Flagstaff Community Market. The Flagstaff Urban Flea Market is every 2nd Saturday of the month from 9am-2pm at City Hall parking lot (211 W. Aspen). Find a variety of goods such as antiques, food, handmade woodwork and leatherwork, household goods, toys, jewelry, and more! This is not something to be missed! With it easily walkable, enjoy the eclectic mix of artisans and peddlers that Flagstaff has to offer.
