At 7,000 feet summer means mild sunny days where the sweet scent of Ponderosa pine beckons and visitors find endless opportunities for outdoor adventure and countless special events and festivals to fill the inviting cool evenings.

Summer in Flagstaff

Flagstaff comes to life in the Summer. Events, festivals, farmer’s markets and much more, provide ample opportunity to be outside and enjoy the cool weather and sunny skies. Below are just a few of the many events happening throughout the summer months.

Saturday Morning Birdwalks

The Arboretum at Flagstaff. Members of the Audubon Society lead participants on a walk through The Arboretum gardens, wetlands, meadow and forest identifying resident and migratory bird species. Saturdays (Through July).

Concerts in the Park

Join the Parks & Recreation Department as they take Concerts in the Park on the road. Enjoy music, arts and crafts, face painting and more. Every Wednesday (June-July).

Ranger Guided Ledge Hike

Hike with a Ranger through Sinaguan ruins in the backcountry of the monument. 3+ hour hike, 3 miles, strenuous. Reservations required. (Memorial Day through Labor Day).
