The Arizona Snowbowl is located in the Coconino National Forest on the majestic San Francisco Peaks. Snowbowl opened in 1938 and is one of the oldest, continuously run ski areas in the U.S. The Flagstaff Nordic Center (FNC), nestled in a snow pocket of the Peaks at about 8,300 ft, is Arizona’s premier cross-country ski location.

Directions: The Arizona Snowbowl is located in the Coconino National Forest 7 miles northwest of Flagstaff. Follow the Highway 180 signs to Grand Canyon, turn right on Snowbowl Rd.
With many scenic trails, 2300 feet of vertical drop, and a wide array of challenging runs, it's no wonder skiers and boarders of all skill levels drop in to Arizona Snowbowl! Snowbowl has a great history of entertaining all ability levels of skiers and snowboarders. It offers the best learning terrain in the southwest, with more than 50 acres and two chairlifts in the renowned Hart Prairie beginner area. Intermediate and advanced snowriders will enjoy many challenging trails. Snowbowl caters to the family experience by offering lessons in a private or group setting. Kids can enjoy our popular SKIwee or Ridge Runner programs that emphasize having fun while learning to ski or snowboard. Snowbowl's average season extends from mid December through mid April.

Directions: In the Coconino National Forest 15 miles northwest of Flagstaff. Follow the Highway 180 signs to Grand Canyon. The parking lot is at mile marker 232.
FNC has 40 kilometers (25 miles) of groomed cross-country ski trails, along with a sledding and snowplay area nearby (Crowley Pit). Stop by the lodge for sledding equipment or enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and relax while the kids build a snowman. The lodge and trails open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 4:00 p.m. FNC offers evening skiing and snowshoeing on lighted trails every Friday evening (6:00 – 9:00 p.m.) during the season. View the stars from the deck while enjoying hot beverages and snacks. FNC provides prepared food on weekends/ holidays as well as trail snacks and hot drinks every day. In case you forget your critical gear or don't own any, FNC offers an assortment of clothing at the lodge in various sizes. FNC also rents skis/snowshoes and has a complete ski shop available for tuning and waxing skis.
